1. How would you rate your agency's staff in terms of their understanding of ASFA requirements? We are particularly interested in the level of understanding of managers, supervisors and workers. Please rate their understanding on a scale from 1 to 5 with 1 being 'poor' and 5 being 'comprehensive'.

Comments: I believe that our State level staff have a very comprehensive understanding of ASFA. This understanding has been heightened by the fact that California is currently in the midst of a Department of Health and Human Services Review.

We are trying to develop a consolidated home study process that would allow us to better develop permanency planning families for concurrent planning purposes. Our recruitment message would reflect this process.

Our Adoptions Initiative provided training on many ASFA related practices such as concurrent planning, relinquishment, permanency planning mediation, home studies, permanency reviews for children in long term foster care, placement with relatives.

Our Child Welfare System/Case Management System does a good job in providing us with data concerning ASFA requirements.
