The system is a SACWIS system that has been around since about 1996. It is old and very cumbersome. Takes time to get what you want out of it.

b. Are there any significant lessons you learned from the CFSR process that you suggest we include in our curriculum? If so, please describe.

Stakeholders don't always see the broad picture and they sometimes make recommendations based on this narrow understanding. The problem is how to educate them before they participate in the review. The instructions and material provided by the Children's Bureau should be easier to understand and written in very simple language - not governmenteze.


10. Is there anything else that you want to tell us regarding the best way to support staff as they implement the requirements of ASFA?

The best way to give adequate training is to provide follow-up that reinforces and repeats the training points. Need support staff to do that.
