A group of agency people were trained on the CFSR instrument. Also, training was done on MEPA. This was a statewide training conducted by state office legal.

Have done training with foster care providers on requirements of ASFA. In connection with the CFSR, training sessions were held with judges and childcare providers. Have held sessions for program specialists, internal people and contract providers on ASFA requirements. ASFA requirements and the CFSR review has been the subject of meetings of the Child Welfare Board, which is made up of community members.

5. How well does your information system support the work of managers, supervisors and workers in implementing ASFA? Please rate the support provided by your system on a scale from 1 to 5 with 1 being 'poor' and 5 being 'outstanding'

a. Why did you give your system that rating?

The state has a data warehouse that gets more sophisticated each year. Presently managers can get reports themselves. Work is being done on a more advanced system that supervisors will be able to use to get reports themselves.
