CBEP funded a study to measure levels
of toxic compounds in the eggs of ospreys, a bird of prey that nests
and feeds throughout the watershed. Conducted by the
Biodiversity Research Institute, the study analyzed eggs for the presence of
toxic compounds. The majority of eggs sampled were found to
contain toxic residues from substances like organochloride
pesticides, stain repellants, and flame retardants. Learn more
