State of Maine John Elias Baldacci, Governor June 2, 2003 Dear Colleagues, Attached you will find the Desktop Reference Guide to MaineCare OQMHP Certification for Children's Services. This guide was prepared Jointly by BDS Children's Services and the DHS Bureau of Medical Services, and was reviewed by several children's Service Provider Agencies. We trust that it will be useful to you in clarifying past and current qualifications for OQMHP staff and ensuring that your personnel records are in order. As additional clarification, please note that the services which need OQMHP certificates issued by the Center for Learning (CFL) are Section 37 (Home Based Mental Health Services), Section 97 (Private Non Medical Institutions) and Section 41 (Day Treatment). The MHRT/C certification will continue to be issued by CFL according to the August 2002 Procedural Guidelines for MHRT/C Certification and may be applied to Children's Services as referenced in specific sections.
