Elise Scala and Sherrie Winton conducted an inventory of Maine's long-term care programs to identify personal and direct care worker job titles and training requirements. This study revealed many different job titles and multiple training programs for workers performing similar job functions, so offered several recommendations for system improvement.

In planning for a growing elderly population, Maine DHHS asked the Lewin Group and Julie Fralich and Stuart Bratesman at Muskie to develop a model that projects use and expenditures for long-term care services into 2015.
