From the Director
At the Cutler Institute, we identify issues, design solutions, implement change, and measure success. In particular, we work with policy makers and other stakeholders to solve the health and social challenges faced by individuals, families and communities across the U.S. and in our home state of Maine.
We are known for building partnerships among all of the various organizations, agencies and individuals who have a stake in an issue, and applying the most up-to-date research and information. In fact, a core strength is our ability to discover, integrate and disseminate knowledge across disciplines.
We are also at the forefront of providing diverse learning opportunities to emerging leaders who are dedicated to serving their communities. With dozens of grant-funded projects, the Institute is a learning laboratory where students, staff and faculty work together to discover and conduct the latest research, and implement solutions along with public officials and community partners at the regional, state and local levels.
