Donald and Hilda Nicoll Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Muskie School Board of Visitors has challenged the School to create a $250,000 endowment to allow us to continue to recruit top students to the School's degree programs. The Nicoll Endowment will offer selected incoming students full scholarships covering tuition and fees up to two years.
A recipient of the award must maintain a strong academic profile and also exemplify Don and Hilda's demonstrated commitment to public service. Don Nicoll, who served as top assistant to Senator Muskie, and his wife, Hilda, have been active in many volunteer activities in Maine, our nation's capital and internationally. Muskie School Scholarship Endowment
The Muskie School Scholarship Endowment is a fund to provide financial assistance to Muskie students. With a goal to create a $250,000 endowed scholarship fund, the School will be able to have a dependable base of support for the wide backgrounds and needs of the study body. This endowment fund was created to help recruit top quality students to the Muskie program and provide assistance to continuing students to support them during their studies. Dean's Endowed Faculty Development Fund
The Muskie School's faculty are recruited professors with national reputations and provide a great service in educating future leaders for the state of Maine and the nation. This $250,000 faculty development endowment will support faculty in their continued need to enhance their intellectual and professional skills through individually designed professional development programs. If you are interested in creating this fund, please contact the Dean at (207) 780-4563.
Endowed Chairs
Muskie faculty are national leaders in key intellectual and professional areas related to the School's areas of academic distinction. Endowed chairs stabilize the capacity of curricular and scholarly offerings in the School’s academic programs: public policy and management, community planning and development, and health policy and management. The opportunities of endowed chairs attract a dedicated student body, engaged faculty and dynamic scholarly work. Our goal is to create three $2,000,000 endowed chairs centered around the School's areas of distinction: rural health, child and family welfare and sustainable coastal environment. If you are interested in supporting these goals, please contact the Dean at (207) 780-4563.
