  CQI Training and Technical Assistance

How members of the Children's Bureau T/TA Network can assist States and Tribes with their child welfare CQI needs.

National Child Welfare Resource Center for Organizational Improvement (NRCOI) - www.nrcoi.org

Training and Technical Assistance Services: The NRCOI assists State and Tribal child welfare agencies in the development of comprehensive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) systems. We offer resources and technical assistance in a number of critical areas.

Please visit our Continuous Quality Improvement page for more information.

Continuous Quality Improvement Peer Network: The NRCOI facilitates a Network of child welfare CQI staff from around the Country. The primary objective of this Network is to focus on key issues CQI staff are facing, and enable CQI staff to share and learn from the experiences and successes of others. Quarterly webinars are held that focus on members' requests and ideas.

National Resource Center for Child Welfare Data and Technology (NRC-CWDT) - www.nrccwdt.org

Federal Reporting: The Children's Bureau administers Federal and State reporting systems that provide data to monitor and improve child welfare outcomes. The NRC-CWDT can assist agencies in meeting requirements related to the reporting systems. Assistance is tailored to meet the specific need, whether it be at a basic level or entailing complex requirements.

Using Data and Technology: Copious data and dynamic technology may both contribute to and pose challenges in managing any modern enterprise. The NRC-CWDT utilizes multiple avenues in assisting child welfare agencies in productive use of data and technology: direct training and technical assistance; opportunities for peer consultation and information sharing; and resources to stay abreast of current approaches.

Peer Networking: The NRC-CWDT brings together child welfare and court professionals from States and Tribes to share their unique ideas, experience, and resources with us and each other. Peer networking opportunities through the NRC-CWDT include peer-to-peer technical assistance, webinars, professional working groups, and an online community of NRC-CWDT staff and child welfare professionals.
