Children’s Bureau
Fact sheets, information, technical bulletins, review tools, the onsite review schedule, and a number of other resources related to the CFSR process can be found on the Child Welfare Monitoring section of the Children’s Bureau’s website. Included below are three PowerPoint presentations with particularly pertinent information.
Child Welfare Information Gateway
The Child Welfare Information Gateway provides CFSR resources. These include an overview of the process, review results, planning information, and resources for helping States improve outcomes through the CFSR process.
National Resource Center for Youth Development
The CFSR Toolkit for Youth, a multi-media product from the National Resource Center for Youth Development, provides important information on how to prepare youth and adults to work in partnership to improve the nation's child welfare system.
National Resource Center for Child Welfare Data and Technology
The National Resource Center for Child Welfare Data and Technology has created the 2006 State Data Profile Toolkit to help states understand and work with the new composite measures for Round Two of the CFSRs. In addition to a general overview of the CFSR process, an introduction to the data used in the CFSRs, a detailed explanation of the State Data Profile, and a guide to looking at what’s behind the numbers, the Toolkit contains a Quick Reference Guide, a CFSR Glossary, a generic discussion of composite measures and weighted components, as well as other useful documents and tools.
National Conference of State Legislators
The National Conference of State Legislators provides information about the increasing role of state legislators in CFSR-related program improvement efforts.
National Resource Center for Permanency and Family Connections
The ‘Hot Topics’ section of the National Child Welfare Resource Center for Permanency and Family Connections contains an extensive collection of CFSR-related information, including PowerPoint presentations and resources from a number of child welfare agencies.
