Closing and Evaluation

Step 1: Closing

Say and do the following:

- It's been my pleasure and honor to work with you today on community partnerships and linkages and I want to thank you for your attention, energy, and investment.

- I believe it has been a really good training day, and I hope you feel energized and committed to working in community partnerships when you return to work.

- We are working with your agency leadership to focus on how we can follow-up this training with you in the future, so that you have some support and assistance as you implement community partnerships.

- Before I ask you to take a few minutes to complete the evaluation form, I want to ask you if you have any comments or suggestions you'd like to make publicly about today's training.

- Receive participants' comments and record them on flip chart paper.

- Tell participants how they can get continuing education units for today's training.

Step 2: Training Evaluation

Say the following:

- Before you go, I want to ask you please to complete the training evaluation form (refer participants to Closing Handout 1: Training Evaluation Form).

- We need this feedback so we can continue to improve the training.

- When you've completed the form, please give it to ___________, and then you can leave.
