Learn about community partnerships and linkages and who the division's/ unit's potential partners are.

 

 

Learn about community partnerships and linkages and who the division's/ unit's potential partners are.

Provide the message, policy and procedures that ensure that community partnerships and linkages are an expected part of child welfare practice in the agency/division/unit.

Eco-Map the agency's geographic boundary to identify potential needed partners.

 

Supervise to community partnerships and linkages.  Make this a part of the supervision agenda.

Create and support community partnership development teams in each division/unit.

Assess the potential partners in the geographic boundary.  Learn their culture.

 

 

Meet with supervisees at scheduled periods to listen to workers' successes and challenges in community partnerships.

Make the resources available that are necessary for child welfare workers to create, use, and sustain community partnerships and linkages.

Create a personal action plan.  Share with colleagues and supervisor.

 

Make the creation, use, and sustaining of community partnerships part of the evaluation of workers.

Meet with staff at scheduled periods to listen to worker's successes and challenges in community partnerships and linkages.

Implement the personal action plan.

 

 

 

Invite potential community partners to agency events. Co-train.

Use the information learned from workers to revise expectations, policy, and procedures as needed.

Evaluate your success and challenges in implementing the plan. Share with supervisor.  Revise plan periodically to continue your personal development.

Periodically evaluate with staff what needs to be changed to be even more successful at community partnerships and linkages.

Ensure there is a means to learn directly from clients if and how community partnerships and linkages are working for them.  Use this information to make necessary changes.
