Evaluation and Credential Decisions
Decisions on awarding credentials will be made by MRTQ staff.

Awarding the Credential
The Infant Toddler Credential I will be awarded upon evaluation of the portfolio and documentation of training and/or college coursework. Successful portfolio completion means that all portfolio items are complete and indicate that the candidate meets the level of competency demonstrated by the portfolio item. If any portfolio items are not met, either because they are not submitted, or because they do not demonstrate a full understanding or mastery of the corresponding competency, the applicant will receive a letter notifying them that the decision to award the infant toddler credential I has been deferred until the applicant either:

  • Submits the missing portfolio item
  • Revises the portfolio items to demonstrate full competency in the standard (credential will be awarded)

If an applicant does not respond to the letter within 90 days the application will be considered incomplete, and the Infant Toddler Credential I will not be awarded.

Credential Renewal
This credential will be renewable, every five years, with renewal based upon continued progress toward Infant Toddler Credential II.
