About the Institute
The Muskie School's Institute for Health Policy conducts nationally recognized research and policy analysis to identify and promote solutions to complex health care challenges. The Institute links leading scholarship with policy and practice to improve health care and human services.
Increasing Access, Enhancing Quality, and Eliminating Disparities
Through a diverse range of research projects, public service activities, and partnerships, the Institute for Health Policy seeks to increase access to health care, enhance the quality of care, and eliminate disparities in the availability and delivery of services. Timely information and practical support for decision makers improve health care for the citizens of Maine and across the nation.
Collaborative Partnerships
The Muskie School's Institute for Health Policy builds unique working relationships with a broad array of partners and funding sponsors to address policy priorities and tackle operational challenges. The Institute teams with private organizations and public agencies at all levels of government to analyze complex health care issues, demonstrate innovative approaches to finance and delivery, and translate research into practical policy solutions.
