Tribal Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Grant Program Grants are available for the development and operation of nonprofit tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions in Indian country. The common purpose of nonprofit tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions must include ending violence against American Indian women, ensuring the safety of Indian victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault, and promoting the accountability of offenders. The leadership and expertise of American Indian and Alaska Native survivors who have been battered and sexually assaulted are critical to the successful development and operation of nonprofit tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions.
As a result of VAWA 2000, all grant recipients are now statutorily required to report on the effectiveness of their projects, and the Attorney General must now report to Congress on the effectiveness of each grant program. Therefore, grantees funded under this STOP Program must collect and maintain data that measures their effectiveness. Grantees are required to submit Semi-Annual Progress Report. ^top Download the final form
