Benefits of Data Collection Data are crucial for policy and program planning, as well as advocacy efforts. Systematic data collection can:
The collection of relevant data – both before a new strategy is
implemented and on an ongoing basis to track its effectiveness –
is essential for long-term effective programming. It is hoped that domestic
violence, sexual assault and stalking practitioners and advocates will
take bold steps in collecting the data needed to help policy makers make
informed decisions that ultimately increase victim safety and offender
accountability. |
