Recent Accomplishments (Factsheet 2012)

The following is a selection of some specific accomplishments of the Casco Bay Estuary Partnership:

• Hosted a Casco Bay Circulation Modeling Workshop and commissioned a Review of Circulation Studies and Modeling in Casco Bay

• Installed an educational exhibit on Portland's Waterfront

• Helped develop an innovative plan to clean up Long Creek.

• Gathered and analyzed data on red tides

• Mapped fringing marshes along the Casco Bay Coastline

• Identified salt marsh tidal restrictions

• Restored fish passage with a new culvert design

• Surveyed barriers to fish passage

• Detected toxic residue in osprey eggs
