  Welcome!
Our mission is to support organizations committed to the welfare of children, youth and families and help them achieve better systemic outcomes.

We are one of ten national resource centers (NRCs) funded by the Children’s Bureau (CB), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide free, on-site training and technical assistance (T/TA) to State and Tribal child welfare agencies.

Through training, technical assistance, research and evaluation we help agencies improve management and operations, expand organizational capacity and promote service integration. We focus T/TA in six primary areas, including:

- Strategic Planning
- Continuous Quality Improvement
- Collaboration
- Workforce
- Training Systems
- the federal Child and Family Services Review process

  Resource Highlight:

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Working Papers
The NRCOI created working papers that focus on the componenets of a CQI system. The purpose of these documents is to define and describe the range of specific strategies within each component to implement a high functioning CQI system in a jurisdiction.  While recognizing that the evolution of CQI is iterative and requires time to refine and implement strategies, each working paper is intended to stimulate thinking about a range of strategies, to identify possible barriers to implementation and to identify solutions and recommendations.
