  Strategic Planning:
What is strategic planning?

Strategic planning is a continuous process for improving organizational performance and moving a child welfare agency towards its overall program goals. It involves looking at the overall direction of where the agency wants to go, assessing the agency’s current situation, and developing and implementing strategic approaches for moving forward.
