  Building Sustainable Solutions:

Broadly stated, system of care casework practice assumes a highly individualized case plan and tailored services that build sustainable, wrap-around solutions from the strengths and needs of the family. Primer Hands On-Child Welfare includes the 10 modules listed below, each with PowerPoint slides, handouts, exercises and case scenarios, as well as additional related materials.

Word files (if available) are included so you can individualize the materials and presentations for your audiences.

We urge you to review "Introduction and Overview" first because it includes a section on “How to Use the Primer” that will help orient you further to the various modules.

In addition to the curriculum, Georgetown University developed a publication, Building Systems of Care: A Primer for Child Welfare, that is a complete summary of the information found in the curriculum below.
